I started off working as an engineer but never truly enjoyed what I was doing. I was made redundant a few years ago and that gave me time to pursue my first love, working with animals. I have a FETAC Level 5 certificate in Animal Care and am currently studying FETAC Level 6 in advanced certificate in Animal Science and Management. I am also a qualified Canine First Aider. In the future I am going to study Canine Behaviour and Training and become a City & Guild qualified groomer. I volunteered at Dog Training Ireland Ltd. where I learned about canine training and behaviour. I have attended several seminars on canine behaviour and my next step is to set up my own Boarding Kennels and Dog Training classes. Our opening hours are Mon - Sat: 8:30am – 6:00 pm (for customers who are working late I can accommodate an early drop off or later collection 087 9808984 Our Services: Dog Grooming: Each dog will have a happy and stress free grooming session as grooming lasts 2-3 hours. Grooming is carried out slowly and calmly to reduce the tension on the dog as some dogs feel stressed having to be groomed in a short period of time. Services include: De-Matting, Ear cleaning and plucking, Eyes cleaned, Nails checked and clipped, Anal Glands, Bathing/Conditioning, Parasite Check Clipping and Scissoring. House Boarding for Dogs: We look after your pet in our own home. This service provides peace of mind for dog owners during holiday periods as some dogs are not used to sleeping in kennels. This will provide the dog with less stress and separation anxiety as they will be constantly be surrounded by people and other dogs. We have a friendly home and secure back garden where your dog will be able to play with our own two dogs, Ben, an English Springer Spaniel and George, an English Setter. They will be fully supervised during play time. Your dog will be treated as if they are a member of our family, a real "home from home"! They get great attention as we only cater for a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time. Because of this places are limited, so book early during holiday periods to avoid disappointment. Dog Walking Services: Are you at work most of the day or sometimes stuck for walking your dog? Why not let us take your dog for a walk when you can't. This service gives your dogs the exercise they require and deserve. Our dog walking service is available on a regular basis or a once of basis. It can be tailored to meet your dog's requirements. We avoid walking more than 3 dogs together at any one time. A solo walk option is also available. All dogs will be walked on lead on the road or brought to the local parks and beaches depending on your requirements. Pet Sitting Services: Are your dogs too old, too scared or frightened of a new environment? We look after your pets in the safety of your own home while you're away on holidays/business. There is no limit to the amount of pets we will look after. All diets, medications and general preferences are catered for. This is a great alternative to kennels as your dog/dogs have their own bed, own surroundings and regular human contact. We visit your dog twice a day to see that all your dogs’ needs are catered for. We will spend a minimum of 1 hour with your pet when they will be fed, watered, cleaned out, played with, talked to, walked and given hugs and love. Your dog will be walked on lead on the roads or brought to the local park for some of lead play, depending on your requirements.
