Audio Transcription - FETAC B20147 (Level 5)

Training Aim: To enable learners to develop audio transcription skills and to produce documents to mailable standard using a typewriter, word processor or voice input system. Objectives: Learners who successfully complete this module will: Operate an audio transcription unit effectively and efficiently. Develop listening skills. Transcribe matters of a business or general nature from recorded speech, with accuracy and fluency. Develop good organisational skills, good work habits and an appreciation of the importance of the efficient use of the equipment and stationery. Demonstrate personal initiative and resourcefulness in responding to audio transcription/dictaphone tasks. Outline Training Plan: The specific learning outcomes are grouped into 4 units: Unit 1 - Operation of Equipment Unit 2 - Layout Unit 3 - Grammar, Spelling, Vocabulary and Numeracy Unit 4 - Production Training Duration: 20 - 30 hours (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills).
